Jeff

President

Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Jeff began his healthcare career in 1980 when he entered the U.S. Navy as a respiratory therapist. While serving, he earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in healthcare administration/MBA. After retiring from the Navy in 2004, Jeff transitioned into hospice administration, co-founding multiple successful hospice organizations and building them from the ground up with a strong focus on culture, quality, and sustainability.

Why hospice:

Jeff is passionate about helping people—both patients and staff—and believes patients at the end of life deserve dignity, respect, and individualized care. He values long-term relationships built on trust and takes pride in creating organizations where employees stay for decades because they feel supported and valued.

Outside of work:

Jeff is an avid sports fan and golfer who enjoys attending sporting events and watching his grandchildren compete. A former college football and baseball player, Golden Gloves boxer, and longtime high school football referee, Jeff lives by the philosophy: “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”

Jason

Executive Director

Jason began working in hospice care in 2009 after a career in healthcare sales, marketing, and business development, including roles in durable medical equipment and medical products. He was drawn to hospice because it allowed him to move more toward providing meaningful, solution-based care that directly supports patients and families.

Why hospice:

Jason values being hands-on, building trusted relationships with colleagues and community members, and educating families about the hospice benefit, which he believes is often underutilized but deeply impactful.

Outside of work:

Originally from Ottumwa, Iowa, Jason enjoys fishing, kayaking, gardening, and attending his two teenagers’ sporting events. He lives by the philosophy: “In order to get what I want out of life, I first must help others get what they want out of life.” — Zig Ziglar

Michele

Director of Clinical Services

Originally pursuing a degree in genetic engineering, she began working part-time in urgent care and the emergency department at a children’s hospital during college. Although she initially worked in research at the Medical College preparing tissue samples, she found herself missing meaningful human connection. Despite an early childhood prediction from her grandmother that she would become a nurse, she had not planned on that path—but ultimately transitioned into nursing to combine science with direct patient care. She began her career in high-acuity settings, including ICU, emergency department, and helicopter nursing. Over time, she realized she was most fulfilled by the one-on-one connection, autonomy, and creativity found in home care. She transitioned into hospice approximately two years later and, although initially unsure, quickly found deep purpose in the profound human connection hospice provides. She has worked in healthcare since 1985 and in hospice since 1992.

Patrick

Director of Business Development

Originally trained in Fire/EMT, he began his career in emergency services, working with the Mukwonago Fire Department and later Bell Ambulance. During his time at Bell, he transitioned into a sales and marketing role, where he built strong relationships across the healthcare continuum. Through those connections, he was introduced to hospice and home health services and was later presented with the opportunity to work alongside Jeff Paul at his hospice and homecare agency. That experience ultimately led him to a long-term career in hospice and homecare, where he has now worked for over 11 years.

Why hospice:

He is passionate about supporting families and ensuring they understand the full scope of hospice services available to them. He values the opportunity to educate patients and loved ones about the benefits of hospice care—many of which are often misunderstood or underutilized. For him, hospice is about providing clarity, guidance, and compassionate support during one of life’s most vulnerable seasons.

What “Elite” means to him:

“Elite” represents a tenured, knowledgeable, and compassionate team committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. It reflects experience, professionalism, and a shared dedication to doing what is right for patients and families.

Outside of work:

He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and values family time above all else. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, camping, traveling, and connecting with friends.
